The Harvard Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship department is currently planning and organizing the first-ever Harvard Global Day of Service, which will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2020. The goal for this day of service will be for community service organizations to make use of a team of Harvard students and interested alumni to work on remotely-based projects.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the day of service will be restructured to focus on remote work assignments. Potential assignments can include supply drives, voter registration drives, environmental advocacy projects, working on digital and technical projects, research or evaluation projects, along with supporting arts and educational programming.

If you are currently working with a nonprofit organization that could make use of a team of students to spend a day working on a virtual public service assignment, please take two minutes to sign up as a team leader/community partner at the following link:

Additionally, if your organization has ongoing virtual volunteering needs, you may also share opportunities through Harvard Serves Everywhere, a virtual volunteering program that will be operating year round.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship team at
