The HBS Club of South Florida is pleased to invite you to a virtual chat with Dr. Laurence Stybel on Tuesday, November 10th.

M*A*S*H* was a popular war comedy-drama television series that aired from 1972-1983. The story line is anything but funny: a group of self-absorbed, well-educated knowledge workers are drafted into a dangerous, high stress environment. Their job requires teamwork. There are personality clashes between individuals. There is a corporate culture clash between Regular Army versus Draftees. The unit lacks the manpower to achieve its mission.

The leader of this unit is Regular Army Dr. Sherman T. Potter, M.D. portrayed by actor Harry Morgan.

Using scenes from the television series, Dr. Laurence Stybel will make the argument that Dr. Potter is THE role model for leadership for our times: high stress, culture clashes, life threatening situations, and overworked employees.
