Literacy Coalition: Improving Literacy in Palm Beach County

The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach invites the HBS Club of South Florida and the Harvard Club of the Palm Beaches to their headquarters in Boynton Beach for an informative evening. CEO Kristin Calder will tell us about the literacy challenges in Palm Beach County, and inform us about best practices for improving literacy in diverse communities. She will share information about the programs the Coalition runs for adults and children in Palm Beach County and answer questions about impact, volunteering and more.
The Literacy Coalition has been working in Palm Beach County for more than 30 years and has been recognized for its important community service.
CEO Kristin Calder was the recipient of a scholarship from the HBS Club of South Florida to attend the HBS Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management program in 2015. Co-host Laurie Gildan is a member of the Board of Directors, and former Board President.
