cordially invites you to join us for
New World Symphony Concert, Tour and Reception:
Mahler 4
Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 7:30pm
New World Symphony - 500 17th St, Miami Beach, Florida
Join us for a reception and captivating musical journey through Vienna’s golden age, featuring works by Johann Strauss II, Joseph Haydn, and Gustav Mahler — three composers whose music defined grace, wit, and emotional depth across centuries. The program opens with Johann Strauss II’s sparkling Overture to Die Fledermaus (1874), a vivacious celebration of melody and mischief that perfectly sets the tone for the evening. Next, delight in Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 93 in D major (1791), part of his renowned “London Symphonies.” After intermission, experience the transcendent beauty of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 in G major (1899–1900)— a luminous work that moves from playful innocence to celestial serenity.
The New World Symphony prepares graduates of music programs for leadership roles in professional orchestras and ensembles. Since its co-founding in 1987 by Artistic Director Laureate Michael Tilson Thomas and Lin and Ted Arison, NWS has helped launch the careers of more than 1,150 alumni worldwide.
